Radiant uses a transflective display. Just like E-paper, Radiant is front lit by natural light. In dark environments, a full spectrum backlight allows Radiant to work as a regular monitor.

With 16 million more colors and 0 ghosting, radiant is certainly better for more detailed work; however, e-ink still exceeds TLCD in reflectivity.
Does Radiant work in the dark?
Yes, Radiant has built-in eye-friendly(full spectrum) LEDs that can be turned on when there is not enough ambient light.
How does Radiant work?
Radiant works by using Transflective LCD technology. By having micromirrors between each pixel, radiant light can be reflected like traditional E-ink screens.
